 Vairety breaks the story that actress and pop singer Cailee Spaeny has landed the female lead in Legendary’s “Pacific Rim 2” the sequel to the 2013 sci-fi hit.

John Boyega will play the male lead in “Pacific Rim 2” and Scott Eastwood also stars. Steven S. DeKnight is directing.

We are so excited for Cailee and everything this next year has in store. On the heels of her first single release and with her debut album in the process, this news couldn't have come at a more opportunity for the newcomer. She is going to be a name that everyone is going to know very soon!
